Musical contributions for a Finnish Zeitgeist inspired documentary Ajan henki. Not all of the tracks on this reel were used. Besides music created for the occasion sarana live sets were employed for certain scenes.

I also created the Dolby Digital 3.1 mix for the final sound track and post-processed the sound.

This is a two minute excerpt of the 16 minute track. The artist needed music for her Christmas themed performances. Besides the holiday feel the track needed to convey S/M overtones, and be exciting enough to make her move.

I began the work by playing with the notes of Jingle Bells, and soon the basslines revealed themselves. The rhythm is relaxed but able to carry the action forward. Slowly and definitely the details and structures appear. Tribal and ancient elements add to the suggestive and tempting mystery, which teasingly stays just out of reach.

The music sets and supports the stage, but doesn’t take it.

Talvisoolo (Winter solo) was composed for an acrobatic fire performer (a member of Trio Taika). The track was created in co-operation with Visa Oscar. The world freezes and thaws in a dialogue with a fiery soul.

A lot of icy material was employed as rhythms, ambiences and melodies. Some of it was retrieved from the Live Antarctic Stream of AWI.

An ambient soundscape created for the opening evening of an independent movie theater. Soundscape tuned the audience in to the atmosphere of the movie in question – Nuovomondo. Kino Tapiola wished the soundscape to rise subliminally from the ambient noise of the theater surroundings. Four minutes of ambient noise have been cut from the beginning.

The track uses samples from following Freesound contributors: c97059890, Corsica S, Fonogeno, Greysound, Jasinski and Schalkalwis
