Website Design for a Youth Camp

TaigaMetsä theme is inspired by Finnish folklore and is aimed at children and youth aged 10 to 16. The website was built using WordPress. In addition to designing the site and creating all visuals and graphics, I managed the web community and oversaw media production for the entire event.

Video Production for an Educational and Entertaining YouTube Series

Kaleva Youth Association produced a YouTube video series for its 50th anniversary camp. The series, TaigaVisio (All episodes), offered practical tips to help children prepare for camp life.

I handled the filming, editing, and sound design, with support from camp guides Jussi and Hannu.

SARANA: Ambient and Experimental Music

A solo musical project existing since the dawn of the universe and beyond. Known for extended live performances – often hours long – and hundreds of tracks produced over the years. It explores laminar flow and superconductivity through intuition, improvisation, and unpredictability – a psychophysical expedition riding the wavecrest of kaleidoscopic reality.

Music Composition for a Short Film

The video presents a scene from the short feature Astronautti, directed by Topias Parkkonen. The audio player contains the full soundtrack, composed of five pieces. A continuous low-frequency tone links the first four, symbolizing the protagonist’s unresolved childhood trauma. In the final scene, where he finds emotional release through a girl he’s fallen in love with, the tone fades signifying his liberation.

Melodies and textures from various analog synthesizers were recorded directly into the sound editor, with minimal rehearsal or formal composition. The film played on-screen during recording, allowing the emotional tone of each scene to intuitively guide the music.

No MIDI sequencing was used, as there was no fixed tempo and all synthesizer audio was captured live. In post-production, the material was further processed and edited to better align with the film’s events. The result is an organic, expressive, and intuitively crafted score.
